Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta, who is widely recognized for igniting the #MeToo movement in India, has recently come forward with a distressing plea for help, sharing an emotional video on social media where she reveals being subjected to harassment at her own residence over several years.

In a video posted on July 22, 2025, Tanushree is seen visibly upset and tearful, describing how the harassment has taken a severe toll on her physical and mental health. She explains that the ordeal has persisted since 2018, making it difficult for her to carry out work or maintain her household. Due to mistrust caused by previous incidents, she has been unable to employ domestic help, recounting experiences where maids were found to be stealing from her home and even suspected to be planted by those harassing her. The actress expressed a profound sense of helplessness: "I'm sick and tired of this harassment!! It's been going on since 2018 #metoo Aaj fed up hokar maine police ko call kiya (I reached out to the police today as I was fed up of all this). Please someone help me. Do something before it's too late," she captioned the video.

Following her call to the police, authorities have advised her to come to the police station to file an official complaint, which she indicated she would do imminently despite not being in good health. She stated, "I am being harassed in my own house. Mujhe mere hi ghar mein pareshaan kiya jaa raha hai. I just called the cops. They came and asked me to come to the police station to launch a proper complaint. I will probably go tomorrow or day after. I am not well."
