In the opening ODI, he delivered a strong all-round performance, scoring an unbeaten 59 off just 28 balls, energizing the Indian innings, and also contributing with a key wicket. India recorded a convincing 101-run victory in that match, largely credited to Hardik’s explosive batting and effective bowling.

Coach and former cricketer Sanjay Bangar praised Pandya’s unique impact on the team, stating, “There is no other player like Hardik Pandya in India,” highlighting his versatility and match-winning abilities in all formats. His presence has also boosted team morale ahead of the forthcoming T20I series slated to begin December 14.
