2025 MG Hector Facelift Unveiled: Bolder Grille, Same Power Punch at Rs 11.99 Lakh!
MG Motor India has launched the 2025 facelift of the popular Hector and Hector Plus SUVs, marking the third major update since their 2019 debut. Priced from an introductory Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom), this refresh aims to keep the mid-size SUV competitive in India's crowded segment with subtle yet noticeable design tweaks.[1][2][4][5]
The most striking exterior change is the larger, wider grille adorned with heavy chrome accents, stretching across the front fascia for a more imposing presence. New LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights flank the grille, while the connected LED taillights retain their design with stylized internals. The rear bumper ditches the fake dual exhausts of the predecessor for a cleaner look, and 'MG', 'Hector', and 'ADAS' badges remain prominent.[1][2][3]
Inside, the cabin layout stays familiar, featuring a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver's display, and dual-tone interiors with leatherette upholstery in higher trims. Key highlights include ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, powered driver seat, 8-colour ambient lighting, Infinity audio system, and a powered tailgate. The Hector Plus adds a 360-degree camera. Level-2 ADAS, six airbags, and the 360-degree view enhance safety.[1][2][3]
Powertrains remain unchanged: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 143 PS and 250 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic. Currently petrol-only, diesel variants (2.0-litre) will return in early 2026.[1][2]
This facelift focuses on refined styling and tech updates without mechanical overhauls, positioning the Hector as a feature-loaded option starting under Rs 12 lakh. Petrol variant prices are out now, with diesel details forthcoming.[2][4][5]
