Royal Enfield Classic 350 Sees GST Rate Cut, Prices Drop Up to Rs 22,000 from September 22, 2025

Royal Enfield announces up to Rs 22,000 price cut on Classic 350 and other 350cc models from Sept 22, 2025, aligning with GST reduction from 28% to 18%. Bikes above 350cc face higher taxes.

In a significant move benefiting motorcycle buyers, Royal Enfield has announced a price reduction for its popular 350cc motorcycles, including the Classic 350, Hunter 350, and Bullet 350 models, following the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) reform by the Indian government.

Starting from September 22, 2025, the GST on motorcycles with engine capacities up to 350cc will be reduced from 28% to 18%. Royal Enfield is passing this full tax benefit directly to customers, resulting in price cuts of up to Rs 22,000 across their 350cc range. This adjustment aims to make Royal Enfield's iconic mid-capacity motorcycles more accessible, particularly exciting first-time buyers and enthusiasts alike.

B Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors Ltd. and CEO of Royal Enfield, stated that the latest GST reform not only improves accessibility but broadens Royal Enfield's community of riders in India. He emphasized that the 350cc platform balances heritage, performance, and reliability and now becomes available at a more attractive price point.

Specifically, the Classic 350, Royal Enfield's best-selling model in India, is expected to see price reductions close to Rs 18,000 to Rs 22,000 depending on the variant. The Hunter 350 and Bullet 350 will similarly benefit from the reduced GST rate. Revised prices will be effective from September 22, and final figures will be available at Royal Enfield dealerships nationwide.

It is important to note that this GST rate cut applies only to motorcycles up to 350cc. Models with engine capacities above 350cc, such as the Himalayan 450, Guerrilla 450, and the 650cc range (including Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650), will face an increased GST rate of 40%, resulting in higher prices effective the same date.

This contrasting tax approach reflects the government's strategy to stimulate consumption in the entry and mid-capacity motorcycle segment, making bikes like the Classic 350 more affordable while increasing tax revenue from premium models above 350cc.

Overall, the GST 2.0 reforms mark a pivotal change in the Indian two-wheeler market, with Royal Enfield actively supporting customers through transparent pricing adjustments starting September 22, 2025. Prospective buyers looking for the Classic 350 and other sub-350cc Royal Enfield bikes can anticipate prices lowered significantly, enhancing the appeal of these motorcycles amid growing consumer interest.
