NBEMS declared NEET PG 2025 results today for over 2.42 lakh candidates. Cutoffs are 276 (General), 255 (General PwBD), and 235 (SC/ST/OBC). Scorecards downloadable from Aug 29.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially declared the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 examination on August 19, 2025.

The NEET PG exam, held on August 3, saw a participation of over 2.42 lakh candidates across India. It was conducted in a single shift across 301 cities and 1,052 test centers in computer-based mode.

This examination serves as the main eligibility and ranking test for admission into postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, DNB, DrNB (Direct 6-Year Doctorate programs), and PG Diploma courses for the academic session 2025-26.

Key details about the examination and results are as follows:

  • The exam consisted of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in English, with each question having four answer options and a time duration of 3 hours 30 minutes.
  • Negative marking is imposed, with 25% marks deducted for each incorrect answer. Unattempted questions carry no penalty.
  • Marks scored and ranks have been made available on official NBEMS websites – natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in.
  • Category-wise cutoff marks announced are: 276 for General/EWS, 255 for General PwBD, and 235 for SC/ST/OBC including PwBD candidates.
  • Individual scorecards can be downloaded starting August 29, 2025.

NBEMS deployed over 2,200 faculty and enforced strict anti-malpractice measures to conduct the exam with integrity. While NBEMS is responsible for conducting the exam and declaring results, counseling and admission formalities are managed by designated authorities.

The declared results mark a critical step for medical graduates seeking admission to postgraduate courses across India, enabling them to check their merit and eligibility for counseling processes to commence soon.
