Maharashtra FYJC Merit List Unveiled: Here's What You Need to Know
As the admissions for First-Year Junior College (FYJC) in Maharashtra continue, the merit list has been a focal point for students and parents alike. The general merit list for FYJC admissions was released earlier this month, with several key developments in recent days.
The FYJC CAP Round 1 allotment list, including minority, management, and in-house quota lists, was made available on June 28, 2025. This step marks a crucial phase in the centralized admission process (CAP), which allows students to apply to junior colleges across the state using a unified online platform.
A total of 10.85 lakh students have applied for admission to over 20.43 lakh seats in 9,281 junior colleges across eight regions in Maharashtra: Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. The Konkan region is not part of this centralized process this year.
The first seat allotment list for FYJC CAP round one is scheduled for release on June 30, 2025. Students can check their seat allotment on the official website, mahafyjcadmissions.in, by using their application ID and password. Once seats are confirmed, students must visit the designated junior college to complete the admission process.
For those not satisfied with their allocation, they can choose to wait for the next round without confirming admission in the current round. If no seat is allocated, candidates should wait for the next round as per the scheduled timeline.
Parents and students are advised to regularly check the official website for updates on the admission process and to ensure timely completion of all necessary steps.
With these developments, the FYJC admission process is set to proceed smoothly, offering students across Maharashtra a streamlined and accessible pathway to further education.
