BPSC 71st CCE Prelims 2025: Admit Cards Released, Exam on September 13 Confirmed Amidst Rumors
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially confirmed that the 71st Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Prelims 2025 will be held on September 13, 2025, dismissing all rumors of postponement circulating recently on social media.
Alongside this announcement, BPSC released the admit cards for the exam today, September 6, 2025. Candidates can download their hall tickets from the official portals bpsc.bihar.gov.in and bpsconline.bihar.gov.in. The Commission has urged aspirants to rely exclusively on verified sources to avoid misinformation that could disrupt exam preparations.
The 71st CCE Prelims will comprise 150 multiple-choice questions to be completed in a two-hour window. There will be a negative marking of one-third for each wrong answer. Candidates must ensure that their admit cards display a clear roll number and bar code. They are advised to carry a printed, signed copy of the admit card along with valid identity proof to the examination center.
In a recent update, BPSC has also increased the total number of vacancies for this recruitment drive from the initial 1,250 to 1,298 posts, including 34 new positions recently added. These vacancies span across various government departments and will be filled through a three-stage selection process consisting of Prelims, Mains, and Interview.
Exam center details and codes will be made available on the official website starting September 11, 2025, allowing candidates to plan their travel accordingly, avoiding last-minute disruptions.
BPSC has also launched a new official website at bpscpat.bihar.gov.in, although the older website continues to function. Candidates are strictly advised to follow only the authorized websites and social media channels of BPSC to receive authentic updates and avoid falling prey to rumors or false claims, including allegations of exam paper similarities with coaching institute materials, which the Commission has categorically denied.
With just a week left for the prelims exam, BPSC aspirants are encouraged to focus on their preparation and keep a close eye on official sources for any further updates.
